Using FlashShield

By creating an account or using FlashShield, you agree to these terms. You must be legally able to enter into this agreement, provide accurate account information, and keep your sign-in details secure. If you use FlashShield for an organization, you must be authorized to act for it.

What the service provides

FlashShield analyzes supported videos for potentially hazardous flashing and can apply targeted edits and verify the resulting video. Features, upload limits, scan allowances, and storage limits depend on your plan and are described on the pricing page and in your account.

FlashShield is an accessibility aid. A passing scan does not guarantee safety for every viewer, provide medical advice, or certify compliance with an accessibility standard. Processing may change brightness or color and may not produce a passing export for every video. Read the safety information before relying on results.

Your videos and acceptable use

You retain ownership of your content. You must have the rights and permissions needed to upload and process it. You give FlashShield permission to store, analyze, modify, and deliver that content as needed to provide the service and carry out your requests.

Do not upload unlawful content, infringe others’ rights, access another person’s account, bypass usage limits, or interfere with the service. We may restrict access to address misuse, security threats, or legal requirements.

Keep your own copies of important files. FlashShield has storage and retention limits and should not be used as your only backup.

Payments and cancellation

Paid subscriptions renew monthly until canceled. Prices are in USD, and the amount payable is shown at checkout. Stripe processes payments and provides the billing portal. You can cancel through Billing; paid access continues until the end of the current paid period.

Our refund and cancellation policy explains how to request help with a payment or refund. Mandatory consumer rights continue to apply.

Availability and account closure

Processing times and availability can vary, and uploads or jobs can fail. We do not promise uninterrupted service or a particular result for every file. If a problem prevents you from using a paid service, contact us so we can investigate.

To request account closure, email us from the address associated with your account. Cancel any active subscription through Billing to stop future renewals. The privacy policy explains data handling and deletion requests.

Changes and questions

We may update these terms as the service changes and will show the revised date on this page. Material changes will be communicated where required by law. Nothing in these terms removes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
